Overview: it aims at constructing a large ship yard for building and repairing ships
by depending on the rich inland river bank resources and the leading position of
China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) so as to satisfy the needs of build原
ing super -tonnage oil tanks of 300,000 tons and of repairing and refurbishing
large ships. It is the third largestmodern ship building base in China. Currently the
ship building and ship repair project has started production and it is estimated that
the first super-tonnage oil tank of 300,000 tons will be launched to water by the
second half of 2009. It ismainly focused on inviting projects related with large ship
building, ocean work craft building, container manufacturing, large steel structure
products and ship repair and refurbishing services in order to develop industrial
companies and products related with the ship building industry and actively develop the oceanographic engineering industry.
